1. Introduction

These instructions are for Downloading and Installing Update 1.0.0.2. For further information about this update, please click here.

2. Who Needs This Upgrade

This update is strongly recommended for those users of the ONT Program purchased Prior to November 1, 2004. If your CD says "Version 1.0" or "Version 1.0.0.1", then you should obtain and install this update.

3. Instructions for Downloading and Installing Update 1.0.0.2

1. Click on this link:

   ONT1_Update1002a.exe

2. You should then see this:

   Click Save this program to disk.

   

3. You should a screen that looks like this, as the program downloads:

   Your download time may vary depending on the speed of your internet connection. The update is 3.09 MB.

   

4. If you have started the ONT Program since you last turned on your computer, Reboot your computer before proceding.

5. Execute the ONT1_Update1002a.exe program. If you selected all the defaults when you installed the original program, then selecting the defaults on this program should work fine. Screen #1 looks like this.

   

6. It will display a progress bar, and will look like this when it is finished.

   

As you can see, it is a very simple program.

To verify that it is installed, open the Orthodox New Testament Research Program and select "Help, About". If the update was successful, it should say Version 1.0.0.2. If it was not successful, it will most likely give you an error message when you try to open the program, and will tell you to reboot and reinstall the upgrade.

NOTE: If the Upgrade program asks you to reboot the computer, it did not install successfully. After you reboot, please re-run the update program prior to opening any other programs.

4. Obtaining Revisions to the ONT Text

The current revisions to the ONT Program's text are included in this update. Any new updates to the ONT Program's text should be automatically downloaded if you run the ONT Program for 5 - 10 minutes while you have an internet connection open, and then they should be automatically installed the next time you launch the ONT Program.

Alternatively, you can force the revisions to be downloaded and installed by launching the ONT Support Program, and selecting Updates, Get Updates.
