I just wanted to say I received Volume 2 of the HAC NT and it's really
nice.
I am recommending both volumes of the HAC NT to all of my friends Orthodox and otherwise. I think the HAC NT is clearly superior to the Orthodox Study Bible, which is now being "pushed" as the "official" Bible of our archdiocese.
But the HAC NT is the real gem. The commentary from the Fathers is invaluable. Whereas the commentary of the Fathers in the OSB is basically to introduce non-Orthodox to the Faith (which is good), the HAC NT has the in-depth theological commentary that *Orthodox *need in order to understand fully what I'm reading.
I love the bright white quality paper, the binding, and the large 13-point font.
I'm currently studying NT Greek and am using the HAC NT as reference when I want to look at whether I am translating correctly.
So thank you and may God bless you for this beautiful work. My only hope is that there will be a translation of the Septuagint from HAC someday!! I will be first in line for that.
